With technology and quality at the forefront of its inception, the new Saltiga 15 Jigging Reel is packed with amazing features. Starting with the full HYPERDRIVE system, The Hyperdrive Digigears are constructed of a high strength brass with gear teeth cut in such a way that both gears maintain constant 3-point contact for buttery smooth rotation.
The Hyper double-support bearings maintain rock-steady positioning of the pinion gear preventing any tilt and further improve rotational smoothness, Its Hyper-Armed housing improves rigidity of the entire reel housing and lastly, the Hyper-Tough Clutch ensures consistent engagement and disengagement of the spool.A Magseal ball bearing critically positioned along the pinion ensures long lasting smoothness while 7 corrosion resistant bearings provide support and smoothness for all other internal mechanisms.
Outfitted with a waterproof ATD drag system which lends the angler both hook-setting power and smooth drag payout while a drag clicking mechanism enhances the fighting experience. A spool lock mechanism allows anglers to safely break free from deep snags while using heavy leaders. On the business end of the reel a 85mm custom “T” shape handle gives anglers a solid grip to work jigs as well as fight fish in comfort.

ATD DRAG
Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
