How does Magica Rust Blocker work?
This latex-like rust-blocking polymer chemically converts rust into a black protective coating. It both eliminates existing rust and seals out the moisture that can cause future corrosion. Magica, Inc.‘s Rust Blocker is an excellent choice on any rusty or weathered surface in Oshkosh, WI.
Rust Blocker Application
Remove large rust and scale particles with a wire brush, then clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, and grease. Stir or shake well; may be brushed or rolled on. Apply a thin, even coat; brush well into rusted areas. Product will change color from off-white to a dark blue to black color, indicating that the chemical conversion is taking place. Thinning is not recommended. Apply at temperatures between 50 – 85F. Two coats are recommended for complete coverage. Allow 48 hours to dry completely before optional oil-based top coating.
